Duplex Steel 1.4462 is a European standard for Duplex Steel, sometimes called UNS S31803 or SAF 2205. Its flanges have a chemical composition that balances the austenitic and ferritic phases, resulting in a microstructure that offers the benefits of both phases. 1.4462 flanges have a high content of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen, contributing to their superior corrosion resistance, strength, and toughness. These flanges also have low nickel content, making them more cost-effective than other Duplex Steel variants.

Duplex Steel F60 Flanges Physical & Mechanical Properties:

Duplex Steel F60 flanges have impressive physical and mechanical properties. They have a 7.8 g/cm³ density, a melting range of 1400-1460°C, and a specific heat capacity of 480 J/(kg•K). These flanges also have an ultimate tensile strength of 620 MPa, yield strength of 450 MPa, and a hardness of 290 HBW. Their elongation and area reductions are 25% and 45%, respectively.
