Hastelloy C-22 Angles Features

Hastelloy C-276 Flats Corrosion Resistance

Like Hastealloy C-22, Hastealloy C-276 exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance and can withstand harsh environments such as wet chloride and oxidizing acids. The alloy is highly corrosion-resistant in hot concentrated acids and other reducing agents. One of the unique features of Hastelloy C-276 is its resistance to corrosion fatigue, making it an excellent choice for components that undergo cyclic stresses in corrosive environments.

Hastelloy C-22 Angles Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of Hastelloy C-22 consists of 22% chromium, 13% molybdenum, and 3% tungsten. The alloy also contains small amounts of iron, manganese, silicon, carbon, and phosphorus. The unique combination of these elements in Hastelloy C-22 provides exceptional corrosion resistance.

 

Hastelloy C-276 Flats Applications

Hastealloy C-276 is primarily used in the chemical processing industry for components that require high corrosion resistance. It is used in heat exchangers, evaporators, scrubbers, and other equipment in highly corrosive environments. The alloy is also used in the pulp and paper industry, where it is used for components that come in contact with bleaching chemicals.

Hastelloy C-22 Angles Heat Treatment

Hastealloy C-22 can be easily cold-worked and fabricated. It can be welded using various welding techniques, such as TIG and MIG. The alloy can also be heat-treated for improved mechanical properties. A solution annealing treatment at 1120°C followed by rapid quenching is typically used for Hastelloy C-22.
