Inconel 601 Flanges contain chromium and aluminum, elements that enhance their resistance against oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. Additionally, the flanges are resistant to sulfur-rich environments, reducing the risk of sulfur attack. Furthermore, it can withstand varied environments, including nitric acid, oxidizing and reducing gases, and saltwater. These corrosion-resistant properties make Inconel 601 Flanges suitable for use in jet engine exhaust manifolds, heat treatment fixtures, and radiant tubes.

Inconel 600 Flanges Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of Inconel 600 Flanges comprises nickel, iron, and chromium as the main components. It also includes trace elements such as carbon, aluminium, manganese, and sulfur. The alloy has a nickel content of 72%, offering corrosion and heat resistance properties. Also, a chromium percentage of 14% allows Inconel 600 Flanges to resist oxidation and carburization in extreme environments. Combining these elements contributes to the flange's excellent mechanical properties, weldability, and machinability.

Inconel 601 Flanges Heat Treatment

Inconel 601 Flanges are strengthened through solid-solution hardening, cold work, or precipitation hardening. They can undergo annealing at 2100°F (1150°C) to achieve maximum performance, providing optimal mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation and carburization. The flanges can also go through cold working, which improves their hardness and strength. Inconel 601 Flanges can then undergo precipitation hardening, which improves their tensile properties at higher temperatures.
