Inconel 925 Coil Corrosion Resistance

Inconel 925 Coils have excellent corrosion resistance to oxidizing and reducing environments. This alloy is resistant to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting in chloride solutions. Adding molybdenum and copper to the alloy enhances its resistance to reducing acids like sulfuric and hydrochloric acid. The coil is also suitable for sour gas wells, where it can resist hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.

Inconel 925 Plates have a chemical composition of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, titanium, iron, and small amounts of carbon, silicon, and manganese. The amount of each element varies according to the specifications of the plate. These plates have a 42-46% nickel content, providing excellent corrosion resistance.

Inconel 925 Sheets are mainly used in high-temperature applications like gas turbines, heat exchangers, and petrochemical processing equipment. It is also suitable for use in marine environments, where it can resist the corrosive effects of seawater. Due to its excellent mechanical properties can also be used in the aerospace industry for aircraft engine parts.

Inconel 925 Coil Heat Treatment

Inconel 925 Coils can be heat-treated to enhance strength and flexibility. The annealing process involves heating the coil to 1038°C and holding it at that temperature for a specific time. This process relieves stresses and enhances the material's toughness and ductility. The precipitation hardening process involves heating the coil to 770°C and holding it at that temperature for several hours. This process strengthens the material and improves its fatigue resistance.
