Stainless Steel Nitronic 60 Fasteners contain various elements contributing to their strength, corrosion resistance, and hardness. Nitronic 60 contains about 16% chromium, 8% nickel, 7% manganese, 1% silicon, 0.10% carbon, 3.5% molybdenum, and 0.15% nitrogen. The nitrogen addition provides superior strain-hardening properties, improving yield and tensile strength. The manganese content improves Nitronic 60's work-hardening rate and toughness.

Stainless Steel Nitronic 60 Fasteners have impressive physical and mechanical properties. Nitronic 60 has a maximum operating temperature of 800°F (425°C) and a melting point of 2552°F (1400°C). Nitronic 60 also has excellent strength, with a yield strength of 65,000 psi and a tensile strength of 140,000 psi and excellent ductility and toughness. Nitronic 60 is also easily cold-worked, annealed, and heat-treated, making it a flexible material for various applications.
