Stainless Steel 304 / 304L Angles & Flats

Stainless Steel 304 and 304L are widely used steel grades due to their excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and low maintenance features. Amongst the many types of stainless steel products available, Stainless Steel 304 Angles and Flats are highly demanded due to their versatility and utility in many industrial and commercial applications. Stainless Steel 304/304L Angles and Flats are a highly versatile and cost-effective option for various industrial and commercial applications.

Stainless Steel 304 Angles Features

Stainless Steel 304 Angles are L-shaped structures made of stainless steel strips and are widely used in the construction industry for various uses. These angles come in various thicknesses, lengths, and widths and are known for their excellent toughness, corrosion resistance and high strength. They also have good workability and can be easily welded, bent, or formed into various shapes. They are highly cost-effective, making them an ideal choice for budget-friendly projects.

Stainless Steel 304L Flats Corrosion Resistance

Stainless Steel 304L Flats are flat-shaped, stainless steel strips ideal for various industrial and commercial applications. Compared to 304 Angles, 304L Flats have a lower carbon content, which makes them more resistant to intergranular corrosion. They also have excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The flat shape of these strips makes them ideal for many applications, including manufacturing automotive parts, chemical process equipment, and heat exchangers.

Stainless Steel 304 Angles Chemical Composition

Stainless Steel 304 Angles comprise iron, 18 per cent chromium, and 8 per cent nickel. They also have small amounts of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon. These angles have a higher percentage of nickel than 304L Flats, which makes them excellent against most atmospheric conditions and corrosive environments, including acidic solutions and gases.

Stainless Steel 304L Flats Applications

304L Flats are used in various applications where corrosion resistance is a prime requirement. These strips are used in the petrochemical, processing, and medical equipment manufacturing industries. They are also used in the construction and architectural industry for decorative and structural purposes. 304L Flats can be easily shaped, bent, or cut to suit specific project requirements, making them highly versatile.

Stainless Steel 304 Angles Physical & Mechanical Properties

Stainless Steel 304 Angles have an excellent combination of strength, toughness, and workability. They have a density of around 8000 kg/m3, which makes them relatively lightweight compared to other materials. They have a tensile strength of 515 MPa, which means they can withstand high-stress levels without deformation or cracking. They are also extremely durable and can withstand temperatures of up to 870ºC without showing signs of damage or degradation.
