Stainless Steel 309 / 310 Angles & Flats

Stainless steel is one of the most versatile materials used in many industries. It is durable, has high tensile strength, and can resist corrosion. Two popular types of stainless steel are the Stainless Steel 309 and 310. These alloys are the preferred choice for manufacturing angles and flats. Stainless Steel 309/310 Angles & Flats are preferred in many industries due to their high-temperature stability, excellent corrosion-resistant properties, and exceptional strength.

Stainless Steel 309 Angles Features

Stainless Steel 309 is an austenitic alloy that contains 23% Chromium and 12% Nickel. The alloy has a high oxidation resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 1175°C. These angles are ideal for applications that require high-temperature stability, such as furnace parts, heat exchangers, and combustion chambers. The Stainless Steel 309 Angles also exhibit excellent corrosion resistance and can resist dry air up to 1038°C.

Stainless Steel 310 Flats Corrosion Resistance

Stainless Steel 310 is another austenitic alloy that contains 25% Chromium and 20% Nickel. This alloy has a higher resistance to high-temperature corrosion and deformation. Stainless Steel 310 is also known for its ability to resist oxidation and scale up to 1150°C. It is suitable for manufacturing heat exchangers, furnaces, and other high-temperature applications.

Stainless Steel 309 Angles Chemical Composition

The chemical composition of Stainless Steel 309 is 23% of Chromium, 12% of Nickel, and 0.15% of Carbon. It also contains trace elements of Iron, Silicon, Manganese, Phosphorus, and Sulfur. The chemical composition of Stainless Steel 309 Angles gives it high strength, excellent toughness and workability, and resistance to oxidation and corrosion.

Stainless Steel 310 Flats Applications

Stainless Steel 310 Flats are ideal for high-temperature stability and corrosion resistance applications. These flats are commonly used to manufacture heat exchangers, tanks, and furnace parts. Additionally, they are compatible with different welding techniques, making them versatile for various applications.

Stainless Steel 309 Angles Heat Treatment

Stainless Steel 309 Angles can be heat-treated to improve its mechanical properties. The alloy responds well to annealing, cold drawing, and quenching. The heat treatment process improves the corrosion resistance, workability, and strength of the Stainless Steel 309 Angles.
