The presence of iron in small quantities enhances the commercial appeal of these flanges. It also increases their weldability, making them easier to work with. The low carbon content ensures these flanges do not require post-welded annealing; hence, they can be used in high-temperature applications.

 

Physical & Mechanical Properties of Titanium Grade 1 Flange

Titanium Grade 1 Flanges are known for their excellent physical and mechanical properties. They have a density of 4.5 g/cm3, which is approximately 50% that of steel. Despite their lightweight, these flanges exhibit excellent strength, with a tensile strength of 240 MPa and a yield strength of 170 MPa. Additionally, Titanium Grade 1 Flange display good flexibility and is non-magnetic. They can withstand high temperatures, making them perfect for heat exchangers and other high-temperature applications.
